Contribution Boxes

honesty boxesTo enable repair/remedial work to be carried out in the Reeks, we are asking all users to contribute to the boxes that are in place at Breanlee and Lisleibane car parks/access points.

Everyone who walks this land leaves their mark on this beautiful environment, we must act now to prevent further erosion taking place.

All funds collected will be used for path repair/remedial works needed in the Reeks. All donations are gratefully appreciated.

If you would like to make an additional contribution to the works needed on the Reeks please see our Friend of The Reeks Badge initiative, Thank You.

Become a Friend of The Reeks

A new initiative ‘Friends of the Reeks’ is currently being rolled out. This initiative is also to support the remedial and repair works needed in the Reeks. We would welcome businesses, walking clubs, guides and indeed individuals to support this project.

In return for a small financial contribution the MacGillycuddy Reeks Forum offer you the use our ‘Friends of the Reeks’ logo for use on your website or marketing materials which shows you are proud to support the work of the Forum in trying to protect, manage, and sustainably develop the Reeks. We will also forward you a sticker to proudly display, as well as the knowledge that you are playing your part in maintaining this iconic mountain range now and into the future.

To become a Friend costs only €10 for individuals. Activity providers and local businesses can become friends by paying €30 for small businesses or €50 for larger businesses. Friends may use our Friends of the Reeks logo on your website or marketing materials. We will also forward you a sticker to proudly display.
