MacGillycuddy Reeks Mountain Access Project

MacGillycuddy Reeks Forum

The MacGillycuddy Reeks Mountain Access Forum welcomes you to our website. We were established in May 2014 to protect, manage and sustainably develop this unique mountain range. The Forum’s Vision is to facilitate the growing number of visitors to this wonderful place, while at the same time minimising the environmental impact on the ground which will be challenging - we will need your help...

Most people don’t realise that the MacGillycuddy Reeks are privately owned lands, which are actively farmed, so please bear this in mind when planning your trip.

We also hope to create opportunities for the local communities surrounding the Reeks, as well as carrying out repair works in the Reeks.  See our MacGillycuddy Reeks EIP Project section of this website to see how we engage with local landowners.

Please contact us if you require any information.
